Fitting Hearing Loss Into Your Lifestyle

“Fitting Hearing Loss Into Your Lifestyle”

..that just made me laugh and laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuugh and laaaaugh and laugh and laugh!!! (-swipes tears from eyes), oh my! So funny!

Like you are one of those “active adults” on a boat and hoisting a sail or something, turning to your partner with a grin on your face and oh! what’s that? A HEARING AID?! You sly devil, you, fitting that “hearing loss into your lifestyle”!

Totally cracks me up. I”m sure this is fodder for lots and lots of blog posts about the difference between those of us who grew up deaf and those who become deaf later in life. Like the difference between those who grow up with any kind of disability and those who become disabled. But not now! Let’s go back to the fun stuff!

I’m a featured blogger right now over on Healthy Hearing (“Your Hearing Aid Information Source”). Yes! Me! I’m a featured blogger on Healthy Hearing! I’m pretty proud of it. I am happy they included my kind of off-tone voice in this chorus they are assembling, happy that I’m a part of representing what being “deaf” is all about.

And hey! “Fitting Hearing Loss Into Your Lifestyle”

Check it out when you can: Healthy Hearing – and definitely check it out if you want to meet some other deaf bloggers. There are good blogs represented and they have other categories, like ‘raising a deaf child’, ‘cochlear implants’ and things like that.

Well done, Healthy Hearing, for including lots of different voices and really trying to connect people, stories and information
