I will graduate tomorrow!
I’ve been here at the Training Center for two weeks now, with the kids and my mom. I can’t believe that this time, two weeks ago, I had no idea of how to train a dog to alert me to a sound. WOW. This place is amazing, taking someone like me on the scale of “zero” and pulling me through to service-dog level in an intensive two weeks!
And I’ll graduate tomorrow!
Well, I’ll graduate tomorrow if I pass all the tests that I have today, that is.
I’ll have a written exam and a public exam (- in which we take our dogs to Kohl’s and go through a series of exercises together, proving that me and my dog, Kianna won’t go nuts and play frisbee on the escalators).
Then I will graduate tomorrow. That’s cool and I’m excited – I’ve loved being here at the Training Center but I’m also exhausted, like EXH-AUST-ED. Big tired, where the edges of my brain feel foggy all the time.
But it hasn’t been all work: we’ve gotten in some play. Here’s a little photo flow from some free time we had, playing together with my dear friend Abbie who came to visit us:
And now featuring an episode from “The Escape Artist and Her Protege!”
Hope you are having a great week – don’t forget about the Challenge Blogging Series/Blog Hop – it’ll be live tomorrow (- I’ve got to get my post ready!). Come by and grab the code if you want to host, add your link url if not – we’ll have a good time.
Oh – and here’s a collage of some IG photos (- I’m @meriahnichols there if you care to follow my feed)
