Just Evolve: The New CoorDown WDSD Short

Coordown comes out with brilliant short videos every year for March 21st, World Down syndrome Day. They aim to create something that addresses an issue that the Down syndrome community faces. Previous shorts have touched on sexuality, employment and justice (see them all, linked here!)

This year, the subject is the “R-Word,” and here is the video:

Would you like to save this?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!

I live in the US right now. Our civil rights are being eroded, voter suppression is a very real possibility, and the government places profit above all else – which means a push back into institutions (which are profitable for corporations). The president and his ilk regularly use the “r-word.” We do not know the full depth of their depravity, but we have an idea, as glimpsed through their actions (and the Epstein files).

My question is: do you want to be like them? Is using language like that something that speaks to your own integrity?

For more information, please check out this AI agent, developed by CoorDown, which will help us all learn more about language and the ways that it builds respect.
