This is a “challenge” post for Mama Be Strong
Atomic Habits really gets into the fact that motivation doesn’t mean much; it’s habits that are where the. juice is at. If we wait until we are motivated or inspired, nothing ever gets consistently done, and consistency is really what changes the entire game. NOT motivation.
You Can Heal Your Life gets into the fundamental truth that the greatest relationship we’ll ever have is the one we have with ourselves. We are going to be with ourselves in this relationship until we die – and beyond, if you believe in life after death. Loving ourselves is the gateway not just to an excellent relationship with our own selves, but to fundamental love between all people.
These concepts resonated with me, because I’ve got a lifetime of sludge built up by struggling with my neurodiversity. I’ve also got a deep yearning to get it right – I want to know how to do this life. Building different habits on a framework of love sounds about right to me.
I’ve got a 6-week intentional commitment (aka “challenge”) going on my Mama_Be_Strong Instagram and Mama Be Strong private facebook group. In recognizing that we all have different goals, the challenge is just to define and follow a few key self-created goals.
Anyway, I just wanted to put this out there in case you were interested and wanted to join. Again: you only need to commit to the goals that YOU choose, and what resonates with YOU. Most of us in the group are working on something related to physical, emotional or spiritual strength-building.
And I’m going to go ahead and post this before I get distracted.
