My happy was back this week – we had friends visit, Moxie’s back in the saddle with horse therapy and flowers are going nuts over here on the Lost Coast. Impossible to not feel inspired.

little girl kicking her feet in waterPhoto Story:

We were at the beach, just had a picnic and saw whales. We wandered over to the lagoon and of course Moxie wanted to go swimming, but I was worried about it being too cold for that. Sitting down and kicking water was her compromise. (more photos from this day are on this post)

Micah’s a really cautious kid – he likes to go carefully, after a lot of thought. He is a rule follower, instruction reader. It was awesome when his friend Kalia got him to ride down the ramp on a skateboard – and he was obviously thrilled (more on that time is in this post).

Ready…set… CLICK!

It was my birthday and I was hell bent on using the remote control and timer. Obviously, I had a little trouble – okay, more than “a little”. Maybe next year I’ll get it the way I visualized – but in the meantime, I like this because it’s exactly what my life right now feels like.

  • Every time I come to your site, I give thanks to the universe that you were able to obtain another camera! I love all these pics.

I am enthralled with Mack’s eyelashes in #36! And the photo of Micah on the skateboard just melts my heart.

    • thank you – that is such a sweet and thoughtful comment. I really appreciate it. And I give thanks to all the readers of this blog that chipped in on the GoFundMe – I really think of you all as having bought the camera for me.

  • Loving your photos as usual! Just returned from a photographers paradise in paradise, only to have my wallet taken on the last day…which made me think of how you ended your Mexico trip. I’m happy you quickly replaced your camera as your photos are a treat! I appreciate you leaving the specs on each one and what inspired the photo. While I am a happy clicker my friend chooses sparingly to shoot a frame each day and just entered and won a cool California photo contest. Happy shooting!
    And potty training.

    • oh no! did I miss it up? I probably did… I have a horse therapy post coming up soon – full of photos of Moxie on the horse!
