This is about the Superfest Disability Film Festival and the film lineup for 2021
Movies are like music: they can reach people when nothing else can. They can find ways to wiggle into the crevices of locked minds and hearts, they can force open spirit and imagination and give wings to the heart.
I have learned more about disability from the Superfest movies than I have from any other source. Oh, but wait – some of you don’t know about Superfest?!
Superfest is the longest running international disability film festival. It showcases films all across the disability spectrum; by and for disability. The films are artistic, creative, thought provoking. They are clever and imaginative, silly and profound. Whimsical. Sexy. Serious. They cover everything and leave space for more.
Superfest 2021
This year, the entire festival is online, and the passes are at a sliding scale, starting from $0. The way it works is you get your pass, then you can watch the movies on demand for the whole of the Superfest Weekend (October 15-17). It’s really easy.
